Aral AG

Aral stands for tradition and mobility. In 1924, the Bochum-based company invented the world’s first premium-grade fuel. The petrol-benzene mixture was composed of aromatic and aliphatic compounds – the name “Aral” was created from the first letters of these components. Today, the brand, which has been part of BP since 2002, is Germany’s largest supplier of fuels and lubricants. The company operates approximately 2,400 petrol stations where customers can refuel and shop, while its Aral pulse brand provides a well-developed network of ultra-fast charging stations.
