The development of the ZTE Kidsphone began with a realisation that the target group wanted a product that was as similar as possible to the smartphones used by adults. On this basis, the device was equipped with numerous functions and designed with an easy-to-understand interface. For example, the physical home button was omitted, while the front and back camera modules remained. The single-colour versions in white, blue and mint take into account the preferences of children, regardless of gender and age. The jury described the ZTE Kidsphone as “a progressive product that focuses on the target group and offers exemplary functionality”.
