Dynamic and angular geometry radiates pure power, while a sophisticated colour palette ensures differentiation in the market segment to appeal to the broadest possible target audience and to position the power stations as a functional lifestyle product. The concave fronts are an excellent idea to protect the interfaces and display from impact damage. “We thought the uniform design language within the product family was fantastic. Then, on closer inspection, we were very impressed by the high quality of materials, the clever ergonomics and, of course, the user-friendly interface,” said the jury, explaining their choice. One thing that all versions have in common is the sleek handle that varies in position, depending on the unit’s size, to maximise its ergonomic qualities, while simultaneously functioning as a feature of the signature product range. A hexagon shape is incorporated, for example, on the ventilation grilles, the carrying strap attachment and the base pads. It is borrowed from the logo, which was also developed by fuseproject: a bee, constructed from hexagons, is intended to symbolise nature, industriousness and tireless energy. With up to eleven outlets for connectivity to various devices, the Yoshino Power Stations are also ideal for longer outdoor sojourns. When the sun goes down, an integrated LED torch lights the way home.
