The aerodynamic cut of the X-Bionic bike windjacket transforms the airstream into a turbulent flow – along the threshold of the climate speed spoiler at the back – causing wind pressure to drop. Just as with a golf ball, this leads to decreased air volume and higher speed at equal pedalling performance. At the same time, the 3D-BionicSphere system protects the biker from cold surrounding air, by using the warm air inside the InnerAirChannels to form an insulating cushion.
