Wall of Sound
“Wall of Sound” is an oversized ghetto blaster that has been painted in black against a white wall, offering an interactive sound experience. Simply by touching the play or stop button or the volume control, the painting “plays” music, becomes louder or quieter. On the technical side, this project is based on a Raspberry Pi microcomputer that has been programmed to play MP3 files or to use playlists from music-streaming services. Electrically conductive paint, which is connected to capacitive sensors that detect contact, was used to apply the artwork to the wall.
