Biomechanical considerations were central to the development of the uvex 3 x-flow, as the aim was to avoid foot problems that workers often experience when they wear safety footwear. The sole was engineered to provide a smooth transition from initial contact to toe-off, while the wave-shaped upper adapts to changes in foot shape. A cushioning and energy return system reduces strain on the foot and fatigue, and a heel counter provides additional support. Other positive properties, such as good breathability, complete the picture.
