The Red Love

With a visual language that picks up on the red ribbon, the international symbol for AIDS and HIV, these posters seek to raise awareness of the devastating epidemic. Organic forms reflecting the shape and colour of the ribbon pique the viewer’s curiosity and emerge as female body contours. The allusion to sexuality is complemented by a font detail. Tiny but prominently placed, the letter “I” is shaped like a condom. The posters thus promote the only current solution of how to protect oneself from the dangerous infection, including a wink of the eye.
