Telekom Light Installation “Take-Off”
This light installation was erected at Cologne Bonn Airport to communicate a widely visible message from Deutsche Telekom. Located near the company’s head office, the airport provided both the site and the idea. The development of the permanent lighting sculpture “Take Off” was inspired by the take-off and landing lights on the runway. Whenever a car passed the sculpture, a light pulse was triggered that transformed the vehicle’s movement into a dynamic take-off sequence. Thus, while still en route, passengers could sense the excitement of departing from the terminal.
