The jury was impressed by the aerodynamics of the Skeleton Shoe – in terms of not only function and performance but also design. Among the characteristic features that make the predominantly white shoe particularly attractive for skeleton athletes are the innovative spikes. To ensure optimal rigidity and toughness, they are printed in a 3D titanium alloy. Arranged in a staggered pattern, the spikes also enable athletes to achieve good propulsion in the starting phase of the race. Wind resistance is reduced by both the spoiler on the sole and the bionic fluid surface design of the upper.
