The Rapid Machine Operator (RMO) is a robotic system that can handle 80 per cent of all tasks on a factory floor and is pre-equipped to perform a variety of jobs, including printing, injection moulding, hot gluing, hot stamping, ultrasonic welding and parts inspection. The RMO was designed for easy movement through tight spaces, such as loading docks and lifts. It also allows for quick disassembly and reassembly and can be set up within a mere 60 seconds. The jury was impressed by the fact that the device has an aesthetically appealing and detail-focused appearance despite all of its design specifications.
