Popov, the Clown
This 60th anniversary special created for the company McDonald’s aims to tie in with the trans-generational significance of the company. In order to express the claim “Forever young”, this commercial features the clown Oleg Popov. Known and loved around the world, this real clown congratulates the “world’s second most famous clown”, Ronald McDonald, who is known as the brand character of the McDonald’s company. By having Oleg Popov convey, in his typical clown-like manner, how important it is to stay young at heart, this message is also transferred to the image of the McDonald’s brand.
