Peter Maffay – MTV Unplugged

The packaging for the music by artist Peter Maffay, here recorded as part of the iconic show “MTV unplugged” by the television broadcaster MTV, reflects the unpretentious and analogue character of the music and the recordings. Inspired by the musical core concept “unplugged”, the design presents itself in a reduced visual appearance to convey a genuine, handmade appeal. All text was handwritten and, instead of using colour pictures, illustrations in black and white show the band and scenes from the live concert. The printing was done on uncoated paper with a cardboard effect.
