The touchfree basin mixer is ASSE 1070 certified and provides scald protection without the need for a separate thermostatic mixing valve. The patented SmarTherm automatic safety shut-off protects the user from sudden hot water surges in the case of unexpected temperature fluctuations or an interruption to the cold water supply. The thermostatic hot water temperature limiter, together with the entire electronics including sensor, battery and solenoid valve, is integrated directly into the spout. The water temperature is easy to adjust via an above-deck mixing handle.
