IMS Technologies - New HMI Generation

This project, managed by NiEW for IMS Technologies, an international leader in state-of-the-art machinery solutions for the Converting industry, aimed to improve product perception, branding, and usability by creating a comprehensive, scalable HMI solution. Goals included reducing learning and task execution time and identifying new digital touchpoints to enhance customer experience. Attention to detail ensures seamless integration with the machine’s physical state. Featuring modern aesthetics and a user experience based on intuitiveness and accessibility, this next-generation HMI offers intuitive cutting station management, real-time feedback, a fully customisable dashboard, and detailed sensor graphs for improved production and maintenance diagnostics. At the heart of the solution is a set of meticulously curated design principles that optimise user engagement, with carefully chosen colour palettes, shadows, and components contributing to an intuitive and seamless user experience. The development of custom icons enriches the possibility of interaction within the system, enhancing user engagement and understanding. Each section of the HMI provides optimal functionality and ease of use. The commitment to innovation goes beyond the design process; the HMI was developed to set new standards for efficiency, usability, and brand excellence.
