The development of the Hitachi Chiiil was based on the Idea of creating a refrigerator that could be integrated into living and working spaces. This was achieved by combining a low overall height (75 cm) with a reduced, matte finish to match contemporary furniture design. In addition, the heat dissipation is located on the underside, allowing the refrigerator to be placed directly against the wall. The units can be combined vertically or horizontally and are available in ten colors. “Hitachi Chiiil impresses with a calm, minimalist design that includes both the handle-less front and the top, creating a homogeneous overall appearance,” said the jury.
