Heineken Open Design Explorations
Heineken Open Design Explorations is a progressive, crowd-sourced concept in nightclub design, presented at the Milan design week. Co-created by emerging designers from New York, Sao Paolo, Tokyo and Milano, ideas were brought together in one origami themed, progressive club space that enhanced the club-goers experiences – with surprising different moods in the green refreshment, red heated dance and blue chill out areas. The interactive bar offered an inventive way to order a Heineken, and invited customers to interact with total strangers by drawing and moving light shapes across the bar’s surface. A television wall made of over 2,500 Heineken bottles displayed funky images of the club-goers, while a UV-chalkboard invited guests to express their thoughts.
