Ferrari Daytona SP3
Advanced aerodynamics
Inspired by the stylistic language of 1960s racing cars, the Daytona SP3 is a sports car that brings a contemporary interpretation to the design hallmarks of its forebears. One key element of the Daytona SP3 are its butterfly doors with integrated air channels to guide the airstream generated by the front wheels. They are characteristic of the sports car’s purely passive aerodynamics, for which new elements such as chimneys have been integrated. These extract low-pressure air from the underbody and thus make the Daytona SP3 the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari without active aerodynamic systems. The doors and their sculptural volume also create a distinct V-shape, which together with the powerful rear wings and large front wheel arches give the car its strongly tapered look. Throughout the entire exterior design, flowing, curved surfaces meet sharper lines to create an impression of balance. The pointed cockpit combines with the wings to form a powerful rear with a central spine, inspired by the 330 P4, at the end of which sits the naturally aspirated V12 engine. The chassis consists entirely of composite materials. To reduce weight, the seats are designed as an integral part of the chassis and create a driving position similar to that of a competition car. With its circumferential windscreen, the cockpit is also inspired by historic Ferraris. Thus, the dashboard and display feature a minimalist and functional, yet at the same time very contemporary, design.

The Daytona SP3 is inspiring thanks to its harmonious proportions, contrasted with clean, precise lines that create an appearance which is both balanced and full of tension. Another outstanding feature is the Daytona SP3’s combination of classic styling with sophisticated passive aerodynamics, making it an extravagant sports car that catches the eye.
