A dream of a glowing snake inspired the designers to create COBRA – a luminaire that can be shaped at will. Its flexibility also allows for ceiling and wall mounting to suit individual room requirements. “In public spaces, this design concept makes for impressive lighting which people find fascinating,” was the verdict of the jury. This is achieved thanks to a smooth, continuous movement between freely selectable fixing points. As the light sinuously winds its way away from the wall surface, curvatures are created that produce different light cones. Depending on the distance, these can be smaller and more intense or larger and more diffuse.
