The BD AutoShield Duo Pen Needle helps eliminate accidental injuries thanks to automatic dual-end protection: after use, both ends of the cannula are safely shielded. On the patient end, a red indicator band confirms the activation of the safety mechanism. On the pen end, the activation of the shield is indicated by a recoiled orange-coloured shield, which covers the needle after it is disconnected from the pen.
