The portable APX N30/N50 radios were developed for people who need to be mobile in their jobs, for example, in the service sector or in public safety. The jury was particularly impressed with the compact dimensions and the light weight of the devices because “they expand the wearability options for users who are often already burdened with other devices and tools to carry.” Large buttons and control elements are set in a familiar layout and protected against accidental activation. On the top, there are tactile rotary controls and a clearly visible emergency button for quick access.
