The China University of Technology in Taipei offers students a range of courses, including visual communication, and works closely together with industry. The focus is on preparing students for the job market, based on design, new media technology, aesthetics and art. This combination of theory and practice has repeatedly won national and international awards. For two consecutive years, the faculty and its students have also developed innovative concepts in the field of green design with the help of the “Green Design Grant” from the Ministry of Education.

###DESCRIPTION###
The publication deals with the shamanic culture of the Taroko tribe, an indigenous people of Taiwan. The work captures the essence of shamanism by recording the stories that shape the life, beliefs and traditions of a Taroko shaman. This work aims to inspire and promote intercultural exchange.
The packaging design of the Island Hideaway perfume series was inspired by Taiwan’s nature reserves and draws on three themes: purity is symbolised by white, the environment by elaborate engravings and animal motifs, and respect by the outer shell, which encloses the packaging and stands for environmental protection.
