Kashiwa Sato, one of Japan's leading creative minds, is CEO of the design agency SAMURAI INC., which he founded in 2000. As a “Total Producer”, Sato deals comprehensively with all aspects of his projects, from the conception phase to interior design and communication strategies. As an ambassador of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs, he is also involved in the dissemination of Japanese products, content and culture. In 2021 his work was exhibited as part of the "Kashiwa Sato Exhibition" at the National Art Center in Tokyo.

The iconic UNIQLO logo is the central component of the new UNIQLO LOGO STORE. The large size of 7 by 7 metres not only represents the impact as UNIQLO's flagship store, but also highlights the experiential aspect as a means of differentiating in-store from online shopping.
