The new signature permanent exhibition at the Weltmuseum Wien in Vienna, Austria, consists of 14 thematically independent exhibition halls for exploring the art, culture and belief systems of non-European cultures as told through the lens of Austria’s long history of cultural interaction, collecting and ethnographic research. Each of the exhibition halls features its own curatorial idea translated into a scenographic presentation. Underlying these individual scenes is a structure of recurring and consistent design elements.
