“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Ventete aH-1 Cycle Helmet
The VENTETE aH-1 is an inflatable, micro-collapsible cycle helmet, marking the first significant divergence from conventional helmet materials in 50 years. Ventete propels helmet technology from leather to foam and now to air, reflecting the evolving culture around urban movement. The aH-1 offers three key advantages for the modern rider:
Innovating for Convenience: Built on a pneumatic structural system with 15 global patents, the VENTETE aH-1 deflates to under 3.5cm — smaller than a laptop — and is easily portable. It includes a small, USB-C pump for inflation in approximately 30 seconds.
Revolutionary Thermal Comfort: The aH-1’s chambered design rests lightly on the head, promoting continuous airflow. Unlike foam helmets, its pneumatic structure efficiently dissipates heat. EMPA (Swiss Federal Lab for Material Science) tests show the VENTETE aH-1’s cooling performance is superior to foam helmets, matching the cooling effect of riding bare-headed.
Confidence in Quality: Developed over nearly a decade by architects and engineers, the VENTETE aH-1 is safety-certified to CE/UKCA standards (EN1078). Independent research at HeadLab (Imperial College London) found that the helmet offers enhanced protection against rotational impacts - the leading cause of brain injury in accidents. Produced in Switzerland, it exemplifies quality and craftsmanship.
