VA-X4

Back Download

The VA-X4 is a one-pilot, four-passenger winged eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft. The aircraft’s highly efficient eight lift rotors minimise power and noise in hover and ensure a fast and efficient cruise. This combination enables a range of more than 100 miles and a top speed that exceeds 200 miles per hour for an incredible passenger experience. The VA-X4 is a hundred times safer than a helicopter and is expected to be certified to the same standards as commercial airlines, all while providing a sustainable, credible, and appealing alternative to current modes of transportation. Passengers will benefit from reduced transit times and zero-emissions journeys. The VA-X4 is also expected to operate easily within cities and existing infrastructure, including over 5,000 public use airports that will provide a ready-made network of landing sites for regional and last-leg trips. With an operating cost of about $1 per seat mile over a 25-mile journey and zero emissions, the VA-X4 has a clear opportunity to replace many existing modes of transportation. Vertical Aerospace aims to revolutionise air mobility and electrify air travel, with the VA-X4 being the first zero-emission aircraft that most people will fly on.
