Facade Design
Urban Bloom – Galleria Timeworld
Urban Bloom is a remodelling project for the Galleria Department Store in Daejeon, South Korea. The design of the facade aims to help revitalise the city. To this end, 5,700 steel modules in different flower shapes were manufactured for the building. In addition, lights installed in the centre of the modules illuminate the entire facade by night, creating a colourful media wall. The project skilfully symbolises urban regeneration and transforms this building from the 1990s into an attractive contemporary landmark.
