“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Upcycling Guitar
The ‘Marimba’ and ‘Piano’ electric guitars are crafted from defective materials and scrap wood, emphasising the unique sound and grain of each tree species. The ‘Marimba’ uses rosewood for sustain, while the ‘Piano’ incorporates spruce from unused piano soundboards for strong reverberation. These models, based on the current ‘REVSTAR’ guitars, showcase Yamaha’s expertise in combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative design.
