“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Umbrella Upcycled Bag | Hōo Phāng
Hōo Phāng repurposes discarded umbrella fabric into backpacks, hobo bags, and drawstring bags. Collaborating with local manufacturers, the design maximises material use by incorporating the umbrella's original cuts and patterns. Waterproof and lightweight, these bags feature compartments for wet items. By recycling broken umbrellas, Hōo Phāng extends product lifespans and reduces waste, integrating sustainability into everyday life.
