TOTEM is a collection of natural-looking bollard lights that can be homogeneously integrated into public green spaces and private gardens for the marking of paths, passageways, etc. The rounded lines form a compact, brutalism-inspired silhouette that emphasises the character of the construction material concrete. The materials were chosen with the aim of integrating a stylistic idiom rooted in architecture into the design concept. The light distribution on the ground illuminates a 360-degree area, while the external contours of the light remain hidden in darkness. The jury was particularly fascinated by “the overall sculptural appearance that changes as dusk falls”.
