The HEART

The HEART digital signage was designed on a scale that engages not only the atrium of the building, but also the surrounding space, making it a symbol of the district that once housed the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Symbolising the source of the blood flow that circulates through the Japanese economy, the sculptural cube with separate rotating LED panels was especially designed for this location. It processes stock-price data in real time and integrates that data into an abstract visual presentation that epitomises the image of a beating heart and makes the cycles, pulse and passion of the Japanese economy intuitively experienceable.

Statement by the Jury

The HEART is both a symbolic and a concrete representation of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, featuring a digital display for the impressive visualisation of complex data and processes.
