Street of Red Tables
Having an outdoor wedding banquet reflects traditional catering culture in Taiwan. As a topic, however, this is difficult to convey, for each single step in the entire process bears a very specific meaning. This work utilises the words and pictures of a guidebook to display the process of catering, from unloading cargo to the end of the feast, vividly depicted through an illustrative flow chart on catering. Thus, “Street of Red Tables” promotes Taiwan’s unique feast culture especially among young people, while also addressing foreigners who have never attended this kind of catering event.
