Sounds of Taiwan Cicada

This toy is a modern, electronic version of the traditional toy bamboo cicada which is popular in Taiwan. For the visual design of the outer packaging, the sounds of cicada chirps were categorised into three frequencies, to each of which a symbol was then assigned: the red-orange triangle stands for the high, the yellow-green circle for the middle and the blue-purple square for the low frequency spectrum. The toy itself comes in a box with a magnetic closure. Its interior features a realistic picture of a cicada alongside explanatory texts which are supposed to give users a better understanding of these animals.
