“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
Settee
Settee is the heart of community spaces, designed for comfort and connection. It provides a gathering spot where people can share and unwind. This resting panel, crafted with varying cushion densities, offers plush comfort. The denser edges facilitate easy handling of papers, while the softer middle invites relaxation.
Studies highlight that active community participation enhances happiness and well-being, with benefits like increased social connections and a sense of belonging. Settee transforms furniture into a tool for shaping social dynamics. Its tactile cushion canvas mimics a plush mattress, promoting comfort and ease. Besides its physical comfort, Settee doubles as a versatile platform for events, announcements, and art, keeping the community informed and engaged. It fosters an environment where individuals are encouraged to lean back, relax, and stay connected with the pulse of the community.
By promoting gathering, communication, and collaboration, Settee stands as a symbol of community engagement. It exemplifies how furniture can nurture a sense of togetherness and reshape social interactions beyond traditional boundaries. Settee embodies the belief that well-designed furniture can significantly impact community life and well-being.
