Rumbach Synagogue

The brand design for Rumbach Synagogue, a recently renovated multifunctional space built in a historic Moorish style, conveys a coherent visual identity. The modular logo, inspired by an original tile found inside the building, represents the five areas of the synagogue. While maintaining the proportions and line structure of the tile, a whole system was created to achieve a uniform overall appearance in everything from icon design to illustrations at exhibitions. The on-site implementation aims to symbolise a transcendental journey: the antique materials gradually turn into shiny copper surfaces as visitors walk through the place.
