“Enduring, not ultimate form”: from “Industrieform” to Red Dot (1980 - 1997)
RENASYS EDGE
RENASYS EDGE is a next-generation NPWT system that applies sub-atmospheric pressure to aid wound healing while prioritising patient discretion, simplifying turnaround between patients, and reducing maintenance overhead.
NPWT systems play a crucial role in wound care, especially with the increasing focus on community healthcare. RENASYS EDGE addresses these needs with its lightweight, wearable design featuring a built-in handle and stable tabletop placement for improved handling and transportability. Its one-piece moulded housing enhances durability, ensuring reliability across different healthcare settings.
The system is designed for ease of use, featuring a graphical interface with a colour display, intuitive softkeys, and step-by-step animations for user guidance and clinician training. Patient discretion is prioritised, facilitated by a quiet pumping system and an odour-controlling carbon-filtered canister neatly integrated into the device. Additional enhancements include automatic display brightness adjustment via a light sensor, easily identifiable branded power supplies, and a clip for tidy storage of canister tubing.
RENASYS EDGE also includes NFC technology for quick access to online resources, providing instructional videos and product details. Its user-initiated self-test and wipe-down-to-clean pump streamline maintenance, ensuring downtime is minimised. With a modular mechanical design, RENASYS EDGE simplifies minor repairs and enhances overall operational efficiency.
