The Rear Air Conduction Bluetooth Headset was designed to improve hygiene, ear health and wearing comfort by making use of rear air conduction. The headphones do not sit directly inside the ear canal: instead, the sound waves are precisely transferred from the device towards the cochlea using directional sound technology. The headphones owe their expressive look to a design inspired by light ribbons. “The Rear Air Conduction Bluetooth Headset breaks new ground in design,” the jury said. “The housing, which turns slightly outwards in a bold arc, is a successful form innovation.”
