This visual identity for the newly installed public transport system in the Dordrecht-Rotterdam area in the Netherlands aims to make it easier to distinguish between different bus lines. Inspired by coloured lines which are often found in metropolitan subway systems, a distinctive colour code was created: the bus lines for the city and suburban areas are green, fast-lane lines are blue and the lines with buses which only run on demand in rural areas are yellow. All of these buses feature a dark-grey side bearing where the distinctive word mark is used in different ways.
