The PNY XLR8 PS5 SSD heat sink was developed to improve the thermal performance of the solid-state drives installed in the extended memory slot of the PlayStation 5. To achieve this, it replaces the PS5 standard cover. This makes it possible to dissipate heat efficiently after an SSD upgrade and maximise the thermal performance of an NVMe SSD upgrade. The heat sink is compatible with all common solid-state drives.

The PNY XLR8 PS5 SSD replaces the standard PlayStation 5 cover to efficiently reduce the heat generated during gaming. With its dynamic design, it addresses the preferences of a young target group.
