Book with LP Cover
PAL – Phase Alternating Line
PAL is a club for analogue techno music in Hamburg, located beneath the television tower. Its name stands for Phase Alternating Line, a transmission technology of coloured images in analogue televisions. The book renders this concept into three sections. The cover is designed like a playable vinyl and shows a distorted image of analogue television and the horizontal shifts as graphic translations. The square shape of the record cover is picked up in the set grid, while the obligatory hole in the record makes the cover playable on a physical record player. Even the headlines are cut in 7-inch format and rotate every chapter.
