Corporate Typeface
Norebo
Norebo is a bespoke typeface developed for the rebranding of the eponymous Russian fishing company. Its general character aims to visualise that their offices and factories are located in severely cold places. The form of the typeface reflects the qualities of severity, thoroughness and reliability. At the same time, it is reminiscent of the outlines of modern ships and the rough but smooth shapes of ice. Large, brutal punctuation and diacritics help to reflect this Nordic character. The main task of the typeface was to contrast with the vivid, dynamic lines of signs and with photo-illustration collages.
