Natural Tea House

The Natural Tea House was designed with the aim of creating an oasis of relaxation and closeness to nature in an urban residential area. Mountains, trees and water were the primary motifs here: the ensemble is conceived in such a way that the winds from the nearby mountains around Seoul can be felt. Trees around the Natural Tea House help to blend out the surrounding city a little; the generous use of wood and the integration of a waterfall reminiscent of a mountain stream also create a very unique ambience.

Statement by the Jury

The Natural Tea House brings natural elements such as rippling water, mountains and trees into the urban landscape through a coherent overall design.
