Morioka Shoten is a tiny bookstore in Tokyo. As its slogan “A Single Room with a Single Book” describes, the bookshop sells only one book; more precisely, multiple copies of a single title that changes weekly, with a small, book-inspired art exhibition on the walls. Its minimalist attitude and well-curated shows attract visitors from across the globe. The branding director created a logo stating the address and the slogan to express the importance of a physical venue in the era of digital reading. The brand design is characterised by effective colour contrasts.
