UX Sound Design, Smartphone Notification Sound Library

MIUI Natural Sound Museum

This sound library for smartphone notifications was created with the aim to replace the typical synthetic sound design with real, diverse animal noises and to bring natural sounds back to humans’ daily hearing experience. It contains over a hundred endemic species that were recorded directly in their natural habitats around the world. Four major geographical themes are provided, as well as a personalisation page for customising combinations of notification sounds according to the user’s individual preferences. Thus, the MIUI Natural Sound Museum successfully created a fresh, pleasant and novel UX.
