Lunet
Lunet is a mechanical finger prosthesis that is designed to provide an accessible solution for restoring finger functionality. Produced entirely through 3D printing, Lunet can be manufactured quickly at a low cost and personalised in CMF to the user’s stylistic preferences. Through parametric modelling and a modular design, Lunet can be configured to perfectly fit any amputee’s anatomical dimensions.
Lunet features a modular snap-together design requiring zero metal fasteners, no adhesives, nor any special tools to assemble. The fingers work by using a novel, robust linkage mechanism that mimics the motion and flexibility of real fingers. By leveraging a unique mechanism, an easy-to-assemble and configurable modular design, and the ever-growing accessibility of 3D printing, Lunet allows finger amputees to regain the functionality of their amputated fingers at less than 1% of the cost of commercially available finger prostheses that are currently on the market.
