The Logitech Brio 300 webcam is particularly striking due to its playful design. The funnel-shaped camera, which is clamped to the edge of the screen, has a rotating privacy shutter that can be used to cover the lens. The jury praised the fact that this feature can effectively protect the user’s privacy owing to the fact that it is always possible to see whether the webcam is potentially active, even from a few metres away. With its autofocus lens and 2-megapixel HD sensor, the camera can capture images with a field of view of up to 70 degrees. It also boasts an integrated stereo microphone for sound recording. Furthermore, at least 48 per cent of the housing is made of recycled plastic.
