Televisions undergo constant development both technically and in terms of their form and functionality. Against this backdrop, the W7 OLED TV fascinates with a reduced design idiom and harmoniously balanced lines. Only 3.65 mm thick, the ultra-slim screen lends this TV a clear and delicate appearance. Its innovation rests on the use of a one-sheet glass design that allows users to immerse deeply into the shown image. As the screen is attached directly onto the wall, it gives viewers the fascinating illusion of looking out the window instead of at a TV screen. This particular perception is further enhanced by an intense audio experience. The impression created by the screen’s formal merging with the wall is supported by the AIO box separate type concept, which was also applied to amplify the dynamic and realistic surround sound. The box incorporates height channel technology of Dolby Atmos to deliver a richer sound experience. The aluminium design lends the box the look of a classic audio unit, promoting a highly elegant appeal. With its innovative form, the sound quality it delivers and the possibility to allow users to become deeply immersed into the shown image, this television opens up exciting new dimensions – users experience a high degree of natural immediacy.
Statement by the Jury
This OLED TV is the expression of a newly defined purism in the TV segment. The extremely thin screen is reduced to the essentials, can be attached directly to the wall and delivers new viewing experiences. In an impressive manner, the design has emerged with the right form for extraordinary technology. This TV almost takes on the appearance of a beautiful painting on the wall. Last but not least, its outstanding sound quality also pushes the boundaries of future design.
