With the JBL Soundgear Sense, the speakers sit outside the ear canal and use air conduction to deliver the sound to the eardrum. As a result, the user remains acoustically connected to their surroundings while using these open-ear headphones. The adjustable ear hook has two pivot points to ensure the perfect fit, while the optional neckband provides additional stability for more demanding usage scenarios. “In the development of the JBL Soundgear Sense, wearing comfort was given the same importance as the acoustic experience,” said the jury, summarising the key points of the product concept.
