The Industrial Mobile Computer RT40 is a handheld PDA scanner that was specially designed for cold stores. A built-in heating system makes it possible for the robust device to withstand temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius. The scanner features an 8-core processor, an Android operating system and a screen that is protected against fogging. To ensure continuous work in cool environments, the clever design allows the batteries to be replaced during operation without having to shut down or restart the scanner. The jury described the RT40 as “excellently equipped for its field of application in terms of design and technology”.
