The Hug office chair adapts to the wide variety of requirements of changing users without overwhelming them with a multitude of adjustment options. Nowadays, several employees often share a workstation, which necessitates frequent changes. The jury was impressed by how the Hug’s construction reduces the necessary adjustments to a minimum – namely, the choice of seat height. The seat and backrest are connected by joints so that the seat rises when the user leans back and lowers again when the user leans forward. This results in a self-balancing system in which the chair automatically adjusts to the weight of its user.
