Highway G331

China’s National Highway G331 is a thousand-mile road that runs along the northern border of Heilongjiang province. The slogan “Incredible Nature, Amazing Heritage” served as a starting point in developing the new brand design, which was intended to place originality centre stage. The design elements were inspired by the landscape. The semicircle thus represents geomorphology, the leaf stands for the vegetation and the line refers to the highway. The distinctive line layout is emphasised by high-contrast colour areas, which were implemented consistently across all of the brand promotion advertising materials.
